The body may react
On its page dated April 22, 2026, the FDA warned that Selank could cause an immune reaction depending on how it enters the body. Clumps of Selank or unwanted substances mixed with it could cause this reaction. The warning does not name which ways of giving it are affected.b
With an immune reaction, the body may respond to the substance as though it were an invader.b
Other calming medicines need a question
Laboratory and rat studies suggest Selank can alter how some calming medicines act; interactions in people remain unstudied.c
