Does Russian registration carry over?

What is the US status?

Start with the US approval record below. Then ask which rule a pharmacy says permits it to make the product being offered.

No approved US medicine

On September 30, 2026, Selank had no FDA-approved US medicine or official US drug label. An official drug label gives medicine instructions reviewed by the FDA, the US medicine agency.a

A withdrawn request is not permission

The FDA page dated April 22, 2026 lists an ingredient called Selank acetate. Acetate means Selank is in a salt form. It says the request to use this ingredient in medicines made to order was taken back.b

Taking back the request does not mean the FDA approved Selank. The FDA still lists concerns about harm beside its name.b

A Russian history is a different question

Russia had registered Selank as an anxiety medicine. As of September 30, 2026, it was still unclear whether that permission remained in force.

A history in Russia does not explain why a US pharmacy may make the product being offered. Ask for that explanation separately.

Ask for the basis in writing

Ask the clinician or pharmacy to name the exact ingredient and the current rule they say permits its use. Ask them to show where the rule says this. If you cannot follow the answer, ask the state pharmacy board to check it. A rule number alone leaves your question unanswered.
