Costs and next steps

What are you agreeing to pay?

Can you explain the payment terms back in your own words? If part is unclear, make it the next question. A written answer gives you something to return to.

What repeats?

Ask whether billing repeats automatically. What event starts the next charge? What happens if you do not go ahead with a proposed treatment?

How would you end the arrangement?

Ask how to cancel, when cancellation takes effect and whether any charge remains. Ask what the refund terms cover. Keep the terms with the quote.

What would your plan pay?

If you have insurance, ask the plan about the exact assessment and product being proposed. What information would it need? Ask for the answer before assuming a quoted charge will be paid back.

What about a medical spending account?

A health savings account sets aside money for medical costs, as does a flexible spending account. If you use one, ask its administrator whether the exact expense qualifies and what proof is needed.

As of September 26, 2026, tax guidance allowed medical spending accounts to pay for medical care, rather than costs meant only for general health. Care for a disease that a doctor has diagnosed can meet that rule. Spending only to feel healthier does not.a

That rule does not settle whether your account can pay a particular Selank bill. Ask the person who manages the account about that exact expense and what proof is needed.
