Costs and next steps

Keep the next step clear.

You have had a conversation. What did it settle? What is still open? Take a moment to make the next step something you can describe.

What remains unanswered?

Look back at the questions you brought. Choose the one you still want explained. Ask who will reply and how that reply will reach you.

What is the follow-up based on?

As of September 30, 2026, Selank had no US medicine instructions reviewed by the FDA that set out checks or follow-up steps.a

Ask the clinician to explain any proposed checks in plain words. What is each meant to find? When would you hear the result?

What happens if more assessment is needed?

Ask what needs to happen next if a test, examination or another opinion is proposed. Who arranges it? Who talks through the result?

Where can a medicine problem be reported?

Patients can report unwanted medicine problems to the US medicine regulator, FDA, through its free MedWatch service.b

A report records what happened, but does not establish that the medicine caused the problem.c

For urgent symptoms, use the urgent-help guidance in the Harm questions chapter.

What will you take away?

Keep the written answer, the question left open and the next step together. Print or copy the notes you want to keep before leaving the page.
